[Review] fresh's Sugar Kisses Mini Lip Duo

Good Evening Everyone! :)

Like I guessed, I was not able to post yesterday. Although I did have a great 3rd month dinner with my boyfriend and it was so great seeing him again. He even showed up at my bus stop with roses when he came to pick me up, which was so wonderful of him and they are lovely ♥. Before I left to come back to Kingston though, I made a small trip to Scarborough Town Center's Sephora to pick up my Beauty Insider birthday present!

Last year they gave out a mini version of Philosophy's Vanilla Birthday Cake shower gel. This year they're giving out mini versions of fresh's Sugar Rose Tinted Lip Treatment with SPF 15 and Sugar Lip Treatment with SPF 15. These two are named...

Sugar Kisses Mini Lip Duo

The Packaging Box

Price: Free on/near your birthday at your nearest Sephora when you are a Beauty Insider (their rewards program)

If you were to buy these products at their full sizes, they would be $22.50 USD each.

Claims:
Sugar Rose Tinted Lip Treatment - nourishes, softens, and protects lips with a hint of colour
Sugar Lip Treatment - provides moisture to lips

I have never purchased any of fresh's products before, although I have seen them at Sephora and have always wanted to try out their Sugar Lip Treatment. This gave me the opportunity to try it out and I am very impressed by the quality and the design of both of these products!

The Description of the Products on the Back Of The Box with the Two Products (they really are quite tiny!)

What I Love:
- Sweet, candy-like scent (similar to Skittles)
- Long lasting moisture - even enough for the harsh Canadian winter!
- Sugar Rose goes on with a light reddish tint, which would go well with any skin tone. This shade is casual enough for everyday use.
- You get a choice of applying with/without color because there are two!
- Cute, convenient packaging. Their twist open design is also genius! No more worrying about the cap falling off.

What I dislike: Nothing! I love these two products!

All-in-all: This is an amazing birthday gift that Sephora is giving out this year. Don't miss your chance to try out these two lip 'treatments' (I would call them more of a lip balm) when it's near your birthday! After trying these, I am considering to purchase the Sugar Rose Tinted Lip Treatment because of the pretty, natural-looking tint it gives to my lips.

Left Product: Sugar Lip Treatment (no colour); Right Product: Sugar Rose Lip Treatment (Red Tint)

Price: 6/5 (because it was FREE!)
Packaging: 5/5
Moisturizing: 5/5
Grade: A+

How was your weekend everyone? I hope yours went as well as mine did! I spent today at my boyfriend's place watching movies and football. It was a really relaxing day before classes begin again tomorrow, which I guess I am looking forward to because that will give me something to do, versus sitting around all day (haha).

See you all soon!

Fabulous Friday!

Just chillin' at the dining table drinking some green tea and registering my Menchie's card

Hi Everyone!

It's the second time I'm back today because I'm not certain if I'm able to post tomorrow. So I will be posting some fun stuff for you all to take a look at for the weekend if you're feeling like you want to try something new!

♥ For Christmas, I made my friends a crocheted cup cozy. It was super easy and very customizable (you can sew on buttons, names, etc.) Seeing as how I never crocheted before, I needed an easy pattern to follow and found one on Ami's Crocheting Tumblr page.

♥ Got only a minute to spare? No worries, here's a website that generates your unicorn name! That's right. Unicorn. Mine is Poppy Blue Pony, who is quick-witted, bright as a spark, blue as the sky, brings the sunshine and chases away the clouds. I think that I would love myself as a pony!

♥ Today I tried out Nair's Au Naturel Milk and Honey Roll-On wax and I absolutely loved it! Mostly I loved the fact that it was WASHABLE and there was barely any mess (compared to my usual Parissa brand wax). A review will be up soon, but if you're looking for a wax, then I would highly suggest this one! (There's also a coupon on their website if you want to print one off and get one for a cheaper price :)!)

♥ Class is starting soon for me, so that means I won't have the time to spend more than 5 minutes on my makeup. I'm planning to try this simple Burberry make-up look (with dupes) for the rest of the school year!

♥ Song of the moment: It just makes me want to dance around the house (and go clubbing!)

♥ Are you working out this weekend? Was going to the gym a part of your new year's resolution? Here's an easy, no-equipment-required workout for you to try if you have no idea where to start or if you want to switch it up a bit!

I leave you all with a picture of Mozart looking to see if there's food in his bowl for dinner because I'm going to go make some dinner now too.

"Where's my dinner?"

Have a lovely weekend everyone!

[Review] St. Ives Naturally Clear Green Tea Cleanser

Good Afternoon Everyone!

Here is the first review of the new year! Here we go...
St. Ives Naturally Clear Green Tea Cleanser

St. Ives Naturally Clear Green Tea Cleanser

Regular Price: Ranges from $5 - $10 depending on where you go

Can be purchased at: Walmart and Shoppers Drug Mart

Claims: Clears breakouts and soothes

I love St.Ives because the company does not test their products on animals and they have a more ‘natural’ approach to producing their products. Their products are also easily accessible because they are in almost every local Walmart or Shoppers Drug Mart and they are priced so reasonably and even cheaper when they are on sale. Their apricot face scrub has been one of my favorites for a long time and I find this product to be even more effective when used with the scrub.

Clear, Green-ish Gel

What I love:
- 2% Salicylic Acid mixed in with the cleanser
- Helped clear up my skin (which was breaking out a lot when I got home for the holidays)
- Fresh, light scent
- Oil free, paraben free, and hypoallergenic
- Minimal lather
- Leaves my face feeling clean, but not dry
- The Pump, it keeps the cleanser from dripping everywhere

What I dislike:
- Although this product does help and prevent breakouts, I find that Vichy’s Normaderm Gel Cleanser to be more effective. Although one really can’t complain judging from the price!

All-in-all: This is a great St.Ives product! It does support its claims, and certainly does help with clearing up light acne. If you’re out looking for a new cleanser, then this would be a great one to consider if you’re on a budget

Price:  5/5
Packaging:  5/5
Effectiveness:  4/5
GRADE: A

I'm packing up right now because I'm going back to where I live for school tomorrow morning! Super excited to go back because tomorrow is also my boyfriend and I's 3rd month. Since we didn't get to celebrate Christmas and New Years together, we're going to celebrate it tomorrow.

Also, I'm really glad that I'm updating this blog and thus keeping to my resolution. This is so fun, and I already have some more posts that are waiting to be edited. So come back soon!

Hope that you all are enjoying the beginning of your weekend! What are some of your plans?

Happy 2012!

Hello Everyone!

I'm back, and am ringing in the new year with new posts, new reviews, and fun stuff!

So I'm going to kick off the first post of 2012 with one of the most adorable videos from last year. If you haven't seen this this will probably definitely make your day:

I really do apologize for not posting since the summer. I ended up working and then going back for my second year of university, which is a ton of fun, but also tremendously busy!

However, that doesn't mean I did not try out new products! Over these past months that I haven't posted, I tried out so many new stuff! So tons and tons of new reviews will be up soon.

Some upcoming product reviews will be:
- Philosophy's Purity Made Simple Cleanser
- St. Ives' Naturally Clear Green Tea Cleanser
- Vichy's Normaderm Deep Cleansing Gel Cleanser
- Dickenson's Cleansing Astringent Pore PerfectingToner
- Cetaphil's Moisturizing Lotion
- Clinique's Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion

- Urban Decay's Vegan Palette (no longer produced, but has some shades that are still continued)
- EOS' Smooth Sphere Lip Balm
- Maybelline's Great Lash Lots of Lashes Mascara

... and lots more! So if you've been wanting to try out a product, but didn't decide on whether you should buy it or not, why not wait for a review first?

I will also be whitening my teeth starting TODAY using Plus White's 5 Minute Whitening Gel system. Day by day pictures and updates will be up! Hopefully this can get my lightly stained teeth whiter in time for my birthday, which is next week!

Setting Sail for 2012!

Last year has come and passed. Phew, boy was that fast! Second semester of first year, summer, and the first semester of second year went by like a speeding bullet. I did have fun though, and learned not only academically, but in life aspects too. I hope that your year went as well as mine did!

As this is the new year, some resolutions of mine are to:
► Be more responsible.
► Pick something, and stick to it. I already chose mine and it's updating this blog! I love blogging, but I'm not very good at keeping a good posting interval, so I'm going to try extra hard to keep this blog updated!
► Stay healthy. Take my vitamins, eat well, and live happy :)

How was last year for you? What was something that went very well in 2011? What would you like to accomplish in 2012?

What a whirlwind of a post! Lots to come, so see you soon!

♥,
Christina
